David and Terra Missildine, wedded in 2005, found themselves creating the first "green" cleaning company in Western Mass. Attending Sustainability classes at UMASS, the two became passionate about environmental stewardship and discovering new ways of doing things.
They wanted to work at their own business and foster awareness about environmentally friendly habits all can adopt.Their passion is contagious and it means a lot to them when folks want to be partners in change. They believe in the old adage, "A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step." It is their goal to make those first few steps easier for everyone they touch. Beloved Earth does not believe that living lighter on this planet is an alternative anymore, it is necessary, and Beloved Earth is here to help.
Being a Green Cleaning company and offering eco-friendly and non-toxic cleaning to residential and commercial clients in the Northampton and Pioneer Valley areas has become a vehicle toward creating a "cleaner world".
Co-owner, Terra says "I am a natural entrepreneur and I have a permanant fire that burns like a furnace driving me to make progress and connect with people and nature. That relationship of interconnectedness was and is a driving force in our sustainable business. Also, we couldn't live in a better area to do so. Northampton, and a growing part of Western MA 'gets it' -- our actions are not separate and our individual impact does make a lasting difference...for better or worse."
Starting a sustainably minded business that offers Green Cleaning and Consulting seemed like a no-brainer. There was a need and Beloved Earth has been filling it since 2005.
